Not only Management, BSNLEU is also fooling workers.. inorder to save 
their skin demonstration call is given now to end the show. BSNLEU is 
not having any feeling of guilty for its absence in the PLI committee 
meeting, the proper negotiating table. It fails to report to the employees 
on what basis it shaped the negotiation when it attended that meeting in 
the earlier occasion and why and on what basis management is offering 
the PLI whether meager or sufficient.. Where BSNLEU differs ‘only on 
quantum or on the modality of calculation’. If you are accepting the modality 
of calculation, how you want to increase the meager quantum to respectable quantum.. 

After demonstration what.. are you going to permanently boycott the PLI 
committee till the elections are over and thereby getting asylum on NFTE 
bashing. Why BSNLEU avoiding negotiation when management called the 
union to the committee.. 

Why now only so hurriedly demonstration keeping silence in the entire 
Deepavali period.. In the demonstration as usual you all blame NFTE 
calling names low quotation etc unfortunately BSNLEU never have any 
quotation on its own name.. Wage Revision on Executive's quotation, 
NEPP on Shri Raja's- management's quotation..  BSNLEU is fooling 
workers by its gimmick of namesake protests and it has no tradition or 
mindset to protect workers and settle things.. It is interested  to play 
always a spoilers role and  it is habituated to act in that role also.. 

Our timely caution is Beware of BSNLEU  which  is  holding demonstration  
not to blame management or to get any respectable PLI before election 
just to blame NFTE and divide – reduce the collective bargaining and 
cash some more votes

BSNLEU General Secretary was observing strong SILENCE ever since 2010
when the management began to deny our employees the Bonus(PLI) on the 
plea that BSNL has not earned profit. Even after the Department of Public Enterprises(DPE) issued instructions in 2011 that Bonus (PLI) payment to 
employees has no linkage with the profitability of the Company/Enterprise, 
both the management and BSNLEU were stonewalling the demand for Bonus 
to our employees till 2013.


When NFTE -BSNL was also recognised after the sixth verification in 2013 the management agreed to review the faulty bonus formula which linked profitability . Grudgingly BSNLEU also had to follow NFTE and agreed to the review of bonus formula which caused loss of bonus to our employees from 2010 to the current financial year. A committee was formed to go in to the modalities of new bonus formula . Comrade Islam represented NFTE in that committee.Similarly Comrade Abhimanyu was in the committee on behalf of BSNLEU. However due to the non-cooperating attitude of Abhimanyu many meetings could not be held by the said committee as he was not present/ available.This has resulted in the failure of the committee to arrive at an agreed formula even after two years . Hence the NFTE demanded Adhoc Bonus payment to the employees.After much hesitation CMD agreed to pay the Adhoc Bonus. But the quantum of amount was once again 
created differences of opinion. 


On 30-03-16 the meeting of the said committee was convened. As usual Abhimanyu did not attend the meeting of the committee as he was busily touring the country to canvass votes. But dutifully NFTE's representative participated in the meeting.The management offered a very meagre amount as Adhoc Bonus pending finalisation of bonus formula. This was a good development as our employees could get some thing as Bonus after six long years since 2009. Further this may call the bluff of management that Bonus could not be paid in the absence of profits . Even now our company has not earned any profit and still running on loss only.However BSNLEU was of the opinion that less than Rs.3500(one month salary) was not acceptable. There is no difference on this .But in the past- during the last Six years BSNLEU never demanded this from the management or organised any struggle to demand Rs.3500 as bonus for our employees. Not only that the leadership of BSNLEU justified the denial of bonus as it felt the management was struggling to pay even monthly salary to the employees.Adding insult to injury the leaders of BSNLEU spoke proudly at many places that the huge salary hike was given by them to the employees was enough.


Com.Abhimanyu went further and ridiculed the leaders of NFTE as not having
 proper knowledge on Bonus issue for the simple fact NFTE demanded bonus 
to our employees since 2010 and continuously organising agitations on bonus 
issue . Only because of NFTE's consistent efforts the bonus formula is being 
revised now. Due to election pressure and fever Abhimanyu calls for agitation 
on bonus now is a well known fact to every employees in BSNL. He slept for 
six years on bonus issue and now posing as a champion of bonus formula but workers are not fools and they will teach him a good lesson on 10-05-16 for his arrogance and double talk on Bonus . 

At chennai few years ago this great revolutionary leader declared openly that 
hence forth no body can get bonus for employees in BSNL.

Now he is accusing others as Somersaulted on Bonus.

30-03-2016 : PLI payment:- The joint meeting of PLI committee took place today with Shri Shamim Akhtar, PGM(SR) in Chair, GM(Restg), GM(Pers) also attended. Com. Islam Ahmad, Leader Staff Side
in NC and NFTE nominee alone attended the meeting. Secy, Staff side has not attended on the plea 
that one month notice is required for the meeting. The official side proposed about amount of PLI 
for year 2014-15. The leader staff side stated that the quantum of money is too meager but we are 
not rejecting the proposal. The committee will now place its report to the competent authority for decision. NFTE is keen to see that the right of the workers is restored.

                                      SEWA-BSNL election Result !

We are happy to inform all our comrades that the panel headed by 

Coms. P.N.Perumal and N.D.Ram had scored a thumping victory in 

the election held on 28-03-16 and conducted by BSNL management 

in New Delhi.

With this the body elected at Sholapur at the last All India Conference 

has once again proved that it has a the majority support among the 

SC/ST employees in BSNL .

BSNLEU and its General Secretary Abhimanyu have now tasted their 

first defeat and the next defeat for them will be on 10-05-16 when the 

votes will be polled in seventh verification to elect the recognised 

Union. 

It is a personal defeat for Abhimanyu as he openly interfered in the 

SEWA-BSNL 

affairs by supporting 

the  faction of Sri.Raveendran.The pity is that he could not 

become even a delegate to participate from Chennai Telephones and eligible to vote

 in this election for choosing the National Office-bearers of SEWA.

We congratulate comrades PN Perumal and ND Ram and 

wish them well.

                     BSNL clears deal with Reliance Jio

The BSNL board has formally approved signing of an intra-circle roaming

 (ICR) pact with Reliance Jio Infocomm across all 22 circles.

A top BSNL official said the two companies will start working on the agreed

ICR arrangements and are expected to close the deal in a month’s time.

The official also said the technical aspects of the ICR arrangements could 

take some more time another month or two.

BSNL has fixed its charges for voice roaming pact at 25 paise per minute for 

any telecom operator who wants to enter into an intra-circle roaming pact with 

it. This means out of its realisation per call on a per minute basis, Jio will have 

to share 25 paise per minute with BSNL.

Apart from fixed charges at 25 paise per minute for voice, BSNL has fixed 

25 paise per megabyte for data and 5 paise per SMS for any telecom operator 

to share its network.

In case of voice, BSNL has kept it at 25 paise per minute for other operators, 

of which 11-12 paise would be termination charges.

BSNL is also in talks with other private telcos for ICR agreements to share its

passive  

infrastructure with them.

In ICR agreements, passive infrastructure such as base transceiver stations 

will be 

shared among the operators when a subscriber of an operator roams 

in that circle.

It expects to earn Rs 300-400 crore a year through ICR arrangements from

the next  financial year.
